Plans for Muthallath Habroot School in Al Mazyunah, Dhofar, include 14 classrooms on a 10,000-square-metre site, serving grades 1–12, according to an Oman News Agency report published by Oman newspaper on 29 October 2026.
The report says the project's foundation stone was laid in partnership with Petroleum Development Oman. Announced facilities include computer, physics and chemistry laboratories, activity rooms, spaces for teaching staff and career guidance, and administrative offices.
The report attributed to the Wali of Al Mazyunah the view that choosing Habroot responds to local needs and that the school is expected to ease students' travel difficulties. This is an intended benefit, not an outcome measured after operation.
This follow-up concerns a project whose foundation-stone ceremony had already been announced; coverage of the ceremony appeared on 27 October. The ONA report does not specify the ceremony date, the school's opening date or its individual cost, and does not establish that construction is complete.
